Contents
Losartan K 50 mg, amlodipine besilate 5 mg
Indications/Uses
HTN, angina pectoris & mild to moderate HTN, alone or in combination w/ other antihypertensives.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 tab once daily, may be increased to 2 tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to losartan K, amlodipine besilate & dihydropyridines. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ bilateral renal artery stenosis or stenosis of an artery to a single kidney, aortic valve stenosis & hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy; heart failure. Symptomatic hypotension may occur. Porphyria. Hepatic impairment. Severe renal impairment. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Edema, dizziness, flushing & palpitation; fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, somnolence.
Drug Interactions
May antagonize effect w/ NSAIDs. May reduce antihypertensive effect w/ sympathomimetics. May elevate serum K w/ K-sparing diuretics. May produce additive antihypertensive & antianginal effects w/ SL nitroglycerin, long-acting nitrates, β-blockers or other anti-anginal agents.
